Canon, Canonet QL19( Found it at my aunt hz...)

Found this old baby at my aunt house recently... i never know it was there even before i was born... but then when i flash back, i think and if i'm not wrong, i did played with this camera 12 years back... hahahaha... so daaammm long... i know right???? Now it looks so rusty but still clicking. I try to clean what i can here but none seems to work. So have been contacting friends and ask where can i repair this camera and at last i found the place.. Empress Studio(if i'm not wrong)... somewhere at india street in front of little lebanon. Was very happy when i first found out that this place can repair it... BUT... hmmm... he told me that better to keep it, cause if really-really wanna repair it, it will cost me alot. But at least i tried... I love that shop. Full of old camera and i love the atmosphere in there,,, it feels so old school. Anyways, the good news of my whole outing today was, at least i know where i can find expired films now, and repair my camera. Still, i feel very unfortunate that this camera cannot put into good use but to sit at the shelves and to be displayed. I'm gonna work hard and maybe when time comes, will go back there again and try to get it repaired. And oh ya, if you wanna know more about this camera, maybe can try to visit this website: http://www.photoethnography.com/ClassicCameras/index-frameset.html?CanonCanonetQL19.html~mainFrame

Olympus SUPERZOOM 800- Part 1

Lately was thinking about black and white photos. Was kinda wondering if nowadays people still want to use it or not. That kind of picture that will set you thinking about the past or the story behind that picture was taken.. A black and white photos.. Especially when it has this dirty look on it.. Very antique in my opinion.. That dirty look that i mention, in other words.. it is called noise. Kinda like there are multiple of small dots around... hahaha... some people, i notice never like that thing we called noise. Well, everyone has their own liking. Anyways, i found my father's old camera.. Olympus SUPERZOOM 800. It was in the cabinet for quite a long time. So i took it out and take a look at it.. and have this thought of experimenting it with a expired black and white film.. i feel kinda excited when i'm wondering what will the outcome be... For your info, this camera is not that very old.. It is still old but not as old as the really heavy type from the past. hahaha... Can still consider average la... For now i'm not sure what i'm really gonna do yet.. how to start with it and so on.. Since its setting is just like that so i'm really gonna have to full use if my experience in photography to handle it... So in part 2, i will try 2 post out the picture that i take... Hopefully it works... Well, no harm in trying.... Till then....=)
